- Release milestones
- 1.Feb. / 1.Aug.: Request for release discussion.
- Release start from invitation D-Grid Technical Advisory Board (TAB) to discuss the software and hardware stacks for new release. This is done by the system maintainer.
- 15.Mar. / 15.Sep.: Discussion closed.
- In this date, the discussion is closed and the decision about software stack is coming. The maintainer of the reference system sends the Request for software packages to appropriate software package support team.
- 1.Apr. / 1.Oct.: Package submission deadline.
- After this date the beta release installation on a pre-production system is started and the documentation is prepared. This is done by the maintainer of the reference system with possible support by the middleware supporter. Version changes of software packages are possible after this date too. Test of interpolation with older middleware versions and central services.
- 15.Jun. / 15.Dec.: Beta release notes publication.
- After this date the release installation on the reference system is started. This is done by the maintainer of the reference system. After this date the versions and software changes are NOT possible (expect fixing critical bugs). Migration tests and final operability check.
- 15.Jul. / 15.Jan.: Release publication.
- Release technical documentation publication date. After this date the resource provider are demanded to update their systems.
